Strange events begin to occur all over the world, and in Sanctuary, the remaining Gold Saints are struck down and the statue of Athena is destroyed. The fallen angel Lucifer appears before the grieving Athena and demands her sacrifice. As the end draws near, Athena heads into Lucifer's lair to save the world, and Seiya and his friends follow her to fight.
