Edouard Vuibert is at his wit's end. Victor Benzakem, a prosperous entrepreneur from the Sentier district, takes him under his wing when a fight pits him against two players of bonneteau. Taking him for a Jew, he decides to hire him as a handler. Eddie lets the misunderstanding settle on his origins and he will make his way in a warm community until seducing Sandra, the daughter of his boss. But during the preparations for the wedding, Eddie unwittingly unmasks himself. He is not Jewish ! He then unleashes the scandal and the anger of the beautiful Sandra.
