Westbam is one of the founding fathers of the German techno scene. For ARD Kultur, he meets influential makers of club culture. They talk about the cultural movement techno and house and share very personal anecdotes. In seven episodes, Westbam meets the scene's greats, André Galluzzi, DJ Hell, Christian Löffler, MOGUAI, Moonbootica, Pretty Pink and Ostbam, on the dance floor of a Berlin club. Together they each shed light on a topic from club culture: starting with the big bang of techno and house in Germany, the famous rivalry between Berlin and Frankfurt, and unexpected entanglements with the punk and hip hop scene, in addition to the musical origins and development, the path from the underground to the charts, the evolution of the DJ profession and today's trends in club culture.
