During World War II, a Soviet plane falls into Nazi-occupied territory. Grivtsov, its pilot, and Katya, the radio operator, survive the attack, who must find their way back to the base. Escaping enemy forces now depends on each of them and his ability to put military training into practice. However, fate leads Grivtsov to discover the act of sabotage by an officer of his own troops, for which he is accused of being a traitor. Alone and without allies, he must fight to stay alive.
