Tom is a musician whose last success with his band was 15 years ago. And he is broke. Eventually even his beloved guitar is repossessed and he must act and find a paying job. With forged papers he applies for a temporary position as a music teacher at a catholic school for students with learning disabilities. His approach to music education, a far cry from hitting a few notes on a triangle which is pretty much all his new students are used to, is to form a band, The Mongolettes.
