Fred Flarsky, is a gifted, but unemployed journalist, who constantly battles his own self-destructive ways. When Charlotte Field, Fred's former babysitter and an incredibly influential woman in her own right, meet again they begin to date. Fred's self-deprecating humor charms Charlotte, but she's preparing to make a run for the Presidency and Charlotte impulsively hires Fred as her speechwriter. A fish out of water on Charlotte’s elite team, Fred is unprepared for the limelight. However, sparks fly as their unmistakable chemistry leads to a whirlwind romance and a series of unexpected and dangerous incidents.
